Moving?

Any customer who’s billing or location address changes should contact the cooperative as soon as possible.

When you first take over an electric account, please contact the cooperative to confirm the date the transfer will take place and to update your records at the office. This will create an effective date from which you will pay for the electric use. A signed Service Application will be required by each new service location. Also, a deposit on each account is required for a new account or you may choose to sign up for our auto pay billing in lieu of a deposit. A $200 meter deposit may be required if you have had or have a bad credit record at KPC. Interest on the deposit is paid to you each year by a credit to your electric account. If you keep your bill current for one full year, the deposit will be credited to your account

The amount of your monthly bill is determined by a meter reading, which is recorded at the office through an automated reading device installed in the meter. Your bill is due on the first day of each month. For your convenience, we offer auto pay from your checking or savings account and we will withdraw the total bill due from your bank account on the 4th of each month. We also offer auto pay credit card in which your credit card will be charged the total due on the 1st of each month. If your bill is paid or postmarked after the 4th of each month, a 1.5 percent late charge is applied to all balances over 30 days. Members whose account is more than 30 days past due will receive a disconnection billing statement and may be subject to disconnection or a collection trip for which there is a $50 charge.
