This easy-to-use Home Energy Savings Tool is designed to help you identify the best ways to save energy in your home.
OFF PEAK STORAGE WATER HEATING PROGRAMS:
Off Peak Water Heating: Install an Off Peak Storage Water Heating System and receive a $10 credit each month.
OFF PEAK ELECTRIC THERMAL STORAGE HEATING: (ETS)
Use low off peak rates for your home heating. Off Peak Storage Furnaces, Room Storage Heaters, and Under the Slab Heating Systems qualify.
Off peak energy: .047 per kwh June/July/August usage
.041 per kwh September – May usage
INTERRUPTIBLE AIR CONDITIONING:
Cycle your air conditioning unit during times of peak demand and receive a $8.00 credit on your bill for the months of July, August, and September.
Rebate: $100 for cycled A/C only $300 (Total) if the unit is “Energy Star” rated (14 SEER or higher) and on control
"Energy Star" rebate varies depending on SEER rating
ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump):
Install an air-to-air heat pump and get all of your air conditioning plus over 50% of your heating from the same unit.
Rebate: “Energy Star” rebate varies depending on SEER rating and unit is on Off-Peak control.
Rate: .047 per kwh June/July/August
.041 per kwh September – May
GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMP:
Heat is extracted from the earth by water pumped through a heat exchanger in the heat pump. Annual operation costs are much lower than all other types of heating systems. The added savings carry over to summer where cooling costs can be 30% - 50% less than the cost of cooling with an average central air
conditioning system.
Rebate: $200 per ton
Rate: .084 per kwh June/July/August
.061 per kwh September – May
SO MY SYSTEMS IS INSTALLED NOW WHAT?:
Please notify Joe at the Cooperative to let him know that your system is installed and working. He will do what we call a "check out" to make certain all of the Load Management Equipment is functioning correctly. At this point any available rebates will be applied to your account.
