Well-placed yard lighting is a bright idea for homes and farms alike because it can help protect you, your family and possessions. Not only is protective lighting affordable, but it is very safe and one of the most convenient forms of security available.

Rural and urban residents are finding yard lights offer several benefits including:

Safety- to avoid personal injury when working after dark, and damage to property when moving cars or machinery. Accidents can be eliminated by lighting up uneven walkways or items left in the yard or driveway.

Security- light deters vandalism and discourages prowlers.

Productivity- lighting extends the workday beyond sundown. It allows tasks to be completed more quickly after dark, and adds convenience in opening doors or checking around property.

Kandiyohi Power Cooperative installs and maintains leased yard lights for its members.

KPC offers a 150 Watt High Pressure Sodium light for lease and is mounted on a Cooperative pole. Please call the Cooperative for a price quote.

Kandiyohi Power Cooperative does not offer "shared lights".

Street Lights – will be maintained by the Cooperative. They must be purchased and installed by the Developer. Street Lights shall be metered by one common meter, and billed to 1 person or entity.
