Kandiyohi Power Cooperative is accepting applications for a full-time Member Services Representative with a focus on load management and water heater programs. The negotiable hourly wage range is $24.50 - $29.00, depending on experience. This position within the Member Services department features an open-plan layout with no walls, fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment, while encouraging easy communication among team members. The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm.
This Member Services Representative role would be a great fit for an individual who, upon necessary training, successfully:

Provides professional, consistent, and accurate member service for the cooperative.

Understands our load management program to answer program and rebate questions, process member rebate forms, enter charges and rates as applicable to member accounts, completes inventory counts and analytics using NISC Meter Data Management, and creates/closes Service Orders as necessary.

Performs water heater sales, inventory, rebate, and warranty claims.

Posts member payments, processes miscellaneous receipts, use remote deposit capture, can use the cash drawer to make change, and can handle cash appropriately to ensure security.
Qualifications include:

High school diploma or equivalent education is required, additional education is desired.

Related work experience preferred may include general office, or clerical experience.

Self-starter with proven skills working both independently and on a collaborative team.

Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced technological environment, with knowledge of Microsoft software packages – experience with NISC software is a plus.

Experience being highly organized and detail oriented while multitasking with frequent interruptions.

The anticipated length of the position is roughly May through October, and the essential responsibilities of the position include:
- Working under supervision in the construction, maintenance, and operations of the cooperative’s electrical distribution system.
- Ability to operate equipment and vehicles in a safe manner through training and observation.
- Observe and assist other line workers on poles and in the work area.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Successfully completed a minimum of one year at an approved Powerline Technician program or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Hold a MN CDL and valid medical certificate.
